Nantucket Book Festival: June 19 - 21 2015

Nantucket Book FestivalIntroduce your children to the exciting world of books and reading… is it ever too early to learn what treasures books hold in store for one’s imagination?

The stories will be chosen to match the typical attention span and developmental level of children ages 2 through 10, and help children develop pre-literacy skills while having FUN at the same time.

Kids! Put your foot down! Don’t let your parents not bring you to Story Time!

The books read aloud will be carefully selected to include stories related to Nantucket and the sea, as well as the popular titles most in demand today by our youngest bibliophiles. There will also be readings in Bulgarian, Lithuanian, Russian, Spanish, Portuguese and other languages as well. Story Time is guaranteed to please one and all!

Story Times will be held Friday and Saturday June 19 and 20 on the half hours (from 9 AM till 11:30 AM) at the Local Authors Tent in the Atheneum Garden. Check the schedule at the tent for specifics. A parent or care-giver must remain with toddlers during the programs.

All events are free and open to the public unless otherwise noted.
